Safety Net for All Campaign

In 2022, the Safety Net for All Coalition was formed in California to fight for unemployment benefits for undocumented immigrant Californians who are cruelly excluded from a safety net. Made up of over 120 immigrant and worker rights organizations, the coalition organizes to fund excluded workers to build a resilient economy that works for everyone. I was the communications lead for the campaign and worked on overall branding, messaging guidance, graphic design (logo design and banner/t-shirt designs), visuals consulting for direct actions, organizing press conferences with legislators, storytelling training, working with directly impacted workers on video testimonials, social media actions and management, as well as the overall communications strategy. Below are some work samples for the coalition. The photos are of my designs (logo, T-shirts, banners, visuals) in action.

Video Testimonials

I worked with directly impacted workers in California to develop their stories, co-create scripts that incorporated the campaign’s key messages, and record/edit/transcribe/translate video footage to format for different social media platforms to use for digital organizing actions targeting the California legislature. Below are some selected samples of these projects. These were shared by coalition organizations as well as our legislative champions.
